Mugs Bakery was established in the small town of Roanoke in April of 1996. We specialize in European-style pastries with a focus on customized cake design. In addition to our array of deserts, we have a light lunch menu, as well as an
espresso bar. If you're wondering about the name, just come in for a visit! We have 100s of mugs on the walls that we have been collecting since the late '70s.
Kim Chabot, a native Texan, attended culinary arts school
in Washington [state], then brought her exquisite talents back to Texas. Kim grew up with a love for baking and serving others, with Mugs, has been able to take something she loves to do and turn it into a business
opportunity. The bakery has been successful staple of the Unique Dining Capital of Texas, serving the one and only chocolate-dipped brownie -- they can be found only at Mugs, and are sure to satisfy your sweet
tooth!
Kim's daughter, Lainie continues the family tradition with her outstanding design sensibilities. Lainie can take any theme or idea you might imagine and turn it into a delicious masterpiece; her tools include
fondant, gum paste, chocolate, sprinkles, gold leaf, or buttercream, which she sculpts into edible fantasies. Lainie has an extraordinary talent for understanding your descriptions and incorporating them with the latest trends to create
those extra-special, wow-factor cakes, cupcakes, cookies and other sugar-coated dreams.
The combination of Kim's knowledge and experience with Lainie's artistic gifts makes Mugs Bakery a one-of-a-kind, one-stop
destination for all your baked-goodie needs (and desires!).
We are located across the street from Babes Chicken Diner House.
